My Hero

My hero since I was a young Braves fan has been Andres Galarraga. He is an inspiration to anyone. Even if you don't like baseball he is an inspiration. He survived cancer 2 times. Many people would've given up after surviving one or just killed themselves when they found out they had cancer. He retired with 399 career home runs. He has a love for the game that cannot be duplicated. Retiring with 399 homers shows that he doesn't care about the record books. He is my hero.

Braves as of late.

The Braves have not been playing well at all lately. After being swept by the Giants and losing their first game against the Diamondbacks, they have been playing abysmal as of late. 4 games in a row they have lost. In the last 4 games they have scored 7 runs combined after routing the Blue Jays 10-2. The pitching hasn't been bad, but our offense isn't producing. I think Matt Holliday would be a perfect fit for our outfield. We could work out a deal to get him from the A's. Our outfield just isn't cutting it. Jordan Schafer needs to start hitting or be sent back down to AAA. Kelly Johnson and Brian McCann are tied for our team lead with 2 stolen bases. 2. Wow. We need speed just as much as we need power. We would get some speed with Holliday, but not much. I don't know who we would have to give up to recieve Holliday, but we need to do something quick or miss the playoffs yet again.
